Nor’easter number four predicted last Wednesday, prompted Lynn, Massachusetts to announce a parking ban.

Since the storm never materialized, many residents left their cars out on the street causing the city to tow more than 200 vehicles, costing owners $170 apiece. Many more received $150 tickets.

Lynn officials say snow or no snow, the cars shouldn’t have been there.

So far, no one was let off the hook through appeals.
