New laser show coming to Roper Mountain Science Center

The Roper Mountain Science Center is preparing to debut a new laser show timed to popular music from multiple genres, including songs by Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, U2, Justin Timberlake, The Beatles and more.

The new laser shows start July 17th and run through July 28th. The planetarium has a new 360 degree full immersion dome, 4K projection, state of the art lighting and 5.1 surround sound.

“This is very unique. I’ve never seen any laser shows timed to music in Greenville or the Upstate, so it’s very unique in that sense, it’s unique for us,” said Greg Cornwell, Planetarium and Public Program Specialist. “It’s the first time we’ve offered it to the public.”

Tickets for the new laser show experience are online and available for purchase now. Tickets are $4 for Roper Mountain Science Center members and $8 for non members. For more information, click here.

The planetarium is currently holding “Friday Starry Night” shows every Friday evening at 6pm, 7:30pm and 8:45pm.
