No Change For Shrine Bowl For This Year

Shrine Bowl Release

The Shrine Bowl of the Carolina’s has been receiving numerous emails and phone calls about the playing of the 80th game that is scheduled to be played on Saturday, December 17th at beautiful Gibbs Stadium on the campus of Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC and what our plans are going forward since both NC and SC have opted to postpone their respective championship games until December 17th, the same date as our game in Spartanburg.

Earlier today, Game Chairman Jamie Smith and BOG Chairman Connie Altman issued this statement.    “The Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas’ fully understand the change in the State Championship  dates in both states due to the horrific aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.  The Shrine Bowl will continue its plan to play the 80th game on Saturday, December 17th at 2 PM in Gibbs Stadium at Wofford College in Spartanburg.  The Shrine Bowl has a plan in place to address the replacement of players and or coaches if need be. We will keep everyone up to date thru our WEB site and social media should any changes occur.”
