No Charges Filed After Pit Bull Kills 6-Year-Old

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office will not be filing any charges after a pit bull attacked a six-year-old Tuesday.

Deputies tell us that the pit bull was adopted from the Asheville Humane Society almost three weeks before the incident.

“This was a tragic event for everyone involved,” said Sheriff Charles McDonald.  “Our hearts and prayers go out to the families involved.”

The Criminal Investigations and Animal Enforcement Divisions of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office were involved in the investigation.
