No reported injuries in dump truck fire in Piedmont


PIEDMONT, S.C. (WSPA) — No one was reportedly hurt when a dump truck was consumed in flames on Tuesday evening. 

Powdersville Fire Department responded to the vehicle fire Tuesday evening on River Road in Piedmont. 

Lieutenant Jake Moffitt says the truck was in flames when they arrived on the scene.

Firefighters had the blaze knocked down in 8 to 10 minutes. 

It’s not exactly known how the fire started.

There were no reported injuries.

A witness tells 7 News the burning truck was near what appeared to be a large fuel storage tank.
