TAYLORS, SC (WSPA) Firefighters say a house fire in Taylors was contained to the garage, Tuesday night.

The fire broke out around 8:40pm on Wood River Way just off of Wade Hampton Boulevard.

According to the Taylors Fire Department, the family was home at the time of the fire but nobody was hurt.

Battalion Chief Ricky Reed says the house had working smoke detectors and an alarm which alerted the family to the fire.

Reed said the fire is believed to be electrical in nature but the cause is still under investigation.
