North Carolina reports 6,140 COVID-19 cases, 164 deaths


RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The number of coronavirus- related deaths in North Carolina continues to grow as the new total hit 164 on Saturday, according to data from the Department of Health and Human Services.

This is an increase of 12 since 152 deaths were reported on Friday.

The overall number of cases increased to 6,140, which is up 281 since Friday’s report.

Hospitalizations dropped to 388.

93 counties in NC are reporting these cases.
