OCONEE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Crimestoppers of Oconee County and the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in an investigation into a theft at an area business early Wednesday morning.
According to a news release, deputies on patrol saw a gate open to a business in the 400 block of South Highway 11 and when they went through the gate they saw the roll up shop doors open.
A check of the property revealed that someone had made entry into the business on the property.
The owner of the business was notified and responded to the business, and told deputies that a white 1997 Ford F-250 single cab truck, with a Foothills Grading logo on the side of the truck, was stolen.
An investigation revealed that several tools, including chainsaw and power tools, had been taken as well.
Investigators said the truck may have some front end damage and information on the truck has been entered into the National Crimes Information Database.
According to the release, the truck has a South Carolina tag of EGP843.
The investigation has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
