Flooding hit some low-lying areas of Pickens County Friday after parts of the county received up to seven inches of rain.
One family on Echo Valley Road in the area north of Pumpkintown, S.C. said flooding left them stranded. Jennie Smith reached out to 7 News, saying she was stranded but was safe, as she had access to higher ground. She said the water surrounding her property was waist-high.
Two other neighbors in the area told 7 News it’s the worst flooding of the Oolenoy River they’d seen.
