Pacolet Police vehicle involved in crash on Hwy 176 in Spartanburg Co.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A Pacolet Police Department vehicle was involved in a crash on Highway 176 in Spartanburg County Monday morning.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash with injuries happened just after 11:30 a.m. on Highway 176 and Dogwood Club Road.

A photo from our crew at the scene showed a Pacolet Police cruiser with front-end damage, and fire crews had responded to that location.

According to highway patrol, a 2003 Honda SUV was traveling west on Highway 176 and a 2010 4-door Dodge was traveling east on Highway 176.

Highway Patrol said the Honda tried to turn left onto Dogwood Club Road and crashed into the police cruiser.

The driver of the police cruiser was injured and taken to Spartanburg Medical Center.

The driver of the Honda, Leah Foster, 20, of Gaffney, was injured and taken to Spartanburg Medical Center.

Foster was cited for failure to yield.
