GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Two South Carolina Highway Patrolmen were injured in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning in Greenville County.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Cedar Lane Road and Alamo Street during a traffic stop.
Deputies said Lance Corporal D. Kugler and Troper B. Stuhmer were conducting a traffic stop when a silver Chrysler hit them and fled the scene.
The suspect was taken into custody a little over an hour later.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Roger Seawright was arrested and charged with ‘Hit and Run with Great Bodily Injury’. He’s being held at the Greenville County Detention Center. No bond has been set.
Both troopers were transported to the hospital for their injuries, according to deputies.
One patrolman was treated and released, while the other remains in critical condition.
