GREENWOOD COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A pedestrian died after walking in front of a car on US-25 Bypass in Greenwood County Friday night.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:20 p.m. on the US-25 Bypass near Willbanks Circle, which is right outside of the city limits of Greenwood.

Highway Patrol officials said a 2007 Pontiac was traveling north on US-25 and a pedestrian was trying to walk east across the road.

The pedestrian then reportedly walked out in front of the Pontiac and was hit by the car in the road.
