Pedestrian killed Saturday morning in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) — SC Highway Patrol troopers and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office responded to a call for a pedestrian hit by a vehicle early Saturday morning.

The collision happened on SC 183/Farrs Bridge Rd. at Sulphur Springs Rd., according to the coroner responding to the scene.

SC Highway Patrol reports that the driver of a truck was headed south on SC 183 when they hit a pedestrian crossing the road at 5:44 a.m. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The victim has been identified by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office as Joel Ryan Jackson, 40 of Marietta.

SC Highway Patrol reports that there will be no charges in this incident.
