A Pendleton alterations shop was busy Thursday working on jerseys that Clemson football players will wear during the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
The jerseys for this game are white with a special silver Nike patch and will be paired with orange pants.
Village Alterations has been the unofficial alterations shop for the Clemson Tigers for nearly 16 years. They added “C” patches for all 6 team captains, including Christian Wilkins and Hunter Renfrow.
The shop had a tight deadline of an hour and a half to put finishing touches on 8 jerseys.
“A lot of the times the crew here will have to pull all-nighters sometimes to get it done,” Donna Key says. “There are 5 of us, but there’s always a tight time limit they give us.”
The brand new jerseys will only be worn Sunday for the team pictures and Monday night during the game. Afterwards, the players are allowed to keep them as keep-sakes.
