Person of interest sought in sexual assault investigation in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Anderson County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in a sexual assault incident that happened last month at business in Anderson.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, the incident happened at Wendell’s Dippin Branch, located on Highway 29 in Anderson, on April 6 and April 7.

Sheriff’s Office officials said the incident happened the same night as the Hudson Moore live event.

Investigators are working to identify a person of interest described as being a man who is between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10 inches tall, with chin length shaggy brown-blonde hair.

The man was reportedly driving a bright green Ford Mustang with black racing stripes.

Sheriff’s Office officials said the Mustang was a 2005 or newer model.
