JACKSON CO., N.C. (Sylva Herald/WSPA) – A wildfire that happened on October 23rd in the Dicks Creek area has flared up again.
There are no homes in danger, according to Jackson County Fire Marshall Michael Forbis.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Forbis said it is likely that the very dry and windy conditions have something to do with it.
He asked that people stay away from fire and allow firefighters to control the blaze.
