Piedmont man dies following crash on Old Greenville Hwy.

ANDERSON Co., SC (WSPA) – Authorities say a man has died three days after a crash on Old Greenville Highway in Anderson County.

The S.C. Highway Patrol says the crash happened Saturday night near Easley. 

An 86-year-old driver from Piedmont was traveling south on Pelzer Highway when he crossed over Old Greenville Highway and hit a ditch.

The coroner says the vehicle flipped several times. 

Troopers say the driver was not wearing a seat belt. 

The driver was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he died Tuesday afternoon from his injuries.

His name was not immediately available.
