Plans for new water park in downtown Gaffney to go before council

GAFFNEY, SC (WSPA) – Cherokee County leaders will be meeting November 27 to hear about a proposed water park for downtown Gaffney.

The preliminary plans for the proposal show multiple water slides, a lazy river, two pools, along with a splash pad and concessions.

The facility would be near the corner of East Beech Street and East Fredrick Street.

The preliminary plan was prepared by Architecture Unlimited and will be presented to a joint council meeting by Tom Lee.

The meeting, with council members from Gaffney, Blacksburg, and Cherokee County, will begin at 5:30pm Tuesday at the Cherokee County Administration Building at 110 Railroad Avenue.
