Report of shots fired at Mission Hospital in Asheville a false report, police say

UPDATE: Asheville Police Department officials said a report of a person with a gun at Mission Hospital Thursday morning was determined to be a false report.

Police said there were no shots fired at the hospital.

Officers responded to the call at around 9:30 a.m.

The incident is under investigation at this time.


ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – Asheville Police Department officials confirmed they are investigating a report of shots fired at Mission Hospital.

According to a police department Twitter post, officers responded to the hospital and said there is no evidence that a shooting occurred.
