Police investigating shots fired in restaurant parking lot in Gaffney

GAFFNEY, SC (WSPA) – Gaffney Police Department officials are investigating a report of shots fired in a restaurant’s parking lot over the weekend.

According to a police report, a gun was fired several times in the parking lot of Cantinita Mexican restaurant, located at 1014 W. Floyd Baker Blvd., on Saturday, but no one was injured during the incident.

In the report, an officer, who was on another call, heard several shots fired in the distance and when that office arrived at the scene, the parking lot of the business was full of people, as well as cars leaving the scene in all directions.

After performing a check to make sure no one was injured, officers checked the area and found six shell casings inside a blue convertible car, as well as five casings in the parking lot.

Gaffney Police Chief Chris Skinner said they currently have three suspects in this case and are still investigating at this time.
