Police working to identify suspects in drive-by shooting in Greenville


GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Greenville Police Department officials said they are working to identify the people involved in a reported drive-by shooting near the Nicholtown community Thursday night.

According to police officials, officers responded to the 200 block of Glenn Road just after 6 p.m. on Thursday after receiving several reports of gunfire.

Police officers spoke with nearby residents who said they heard multiple gunshots and saw a car speeding away.

According to police, officers found shell casings in the roadway and determined a storage building had been damaged.

Police said they were told later that evening that an man was in a nearby hospital seeking treatment for an injury consistent with a gunshot wound.

According to police, officers interviewed the mana nd were told he sustained the injury at a location out of the city limits.

Police officials said investigators have a description of the vehicle and said they are working to identify those involved in the incident.
