Prescription drop box now at Gaffney Police Department

GAFFNEY – Another Upstate police department wants people to bring in their unwanted pills.

The Gaffney Police Department now has a prescription drop box available to the public inside the department’s lobby off Limestone Street.

Police Chief Chris Skinner says donations from local businesses helped make it happen at no cost to the police department.

“Drop off your old prescriptions, your old medicines,” said Chief Skinner. “A lot of people don’t know what to do with it. They’re putting it down the toilet or putting it in the sink.”

He said people can come by anytime during business hours to get rid of pills in their home.
