Professional dog walker in Spartanburg has her mind on more business ventures

A woman who works with dogs may have had a business breakthrough for folks who love their pets and a cold beer.

Holliday Brewing is opening up soon in Drayton Mills and they are working with another business owner to make some treats for our furry four legged friends.

“When people come in to have a brew then their dog can come in and have a bite of the treat,” Cheryl Rop said.

Cheryl Rop is a professional dog walker and a business savvy woman.

Her love of dogs has helped her create a business and the new brewery opening is helping her expand.

She says there is something special about these little doggies she walks every day.

“Every dog has their own personality and everyone of them are happy when you come in they know you’re there for a purpose and every one of them loves you,” Rop said.

She walks many dogs at Drayton Mills, that is where Holliday Brewing will be opening on March 9th.
She says she was just walking by when she became curious about the new business.

“They were stirring up their oats and grains and I said oh that looks good,” Rop said.

That is when a new idea came to mind, why not use some of the leftover ingredients from the beer to make homemade dog treats.

“So they saved me some and I went home and started making batches and then I thought I’m gonna use all of the little dogs that I walk to be my taste testers,” Rop said.

After perfecting her recipe of Peanut Butter and other secret ingredients she is going to leave her all natural treats at the new brewery.

She plans to possibly work with more breweries to make unique treats for them too.
