SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – A puppy was rescued from a car crash Thursday afternoon.

Spartanburg Fire Department says they responded to a wreck with entrapment.

They got there and they had to pop open the driver side door off of one of the vehicles.

The driver wasn’t hurt, but said his dog was in the vehicle.

They searched and found the pup under the front seat.

Firefighters say they are holding on to the puppy until his family can come and get him.
