Quaker Oats recalls granola bars over listeria concerns

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two types of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars have been recalled by the company due to a possible listeria contamination.

The recalled items are listed here:

6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley with UPC code 30000 32241 and Best Before Dates of 10/16/2016 and 10/17/2016

6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut with UPC 30000 32243 and Best Before Dates of 10/10/2016 and 10/11/2016

Listeria monocytogenes (L. mono) can be serious and sometimes fatal for children, the elderly or those with weak immune systems.

No cases of listeria-related to the granola bars have been reported to date.

Anyone who bought these granola bars can return them to the store where they bought them for a full refund.
