SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Spartanburg hosted the Ride of Silence Wednesday, part of a nation-wide event to remember cyclists killed in crashes.
Riders in Spartanburg honored three people killed while riding their bikes: Josh Duncan, Dale Willenberg, and Jeff Pierce.

The bicyclists, riding in single file, traveled along the Mary Black Rail Trail and along Union Street.
The Spartanburg Police Department also took part in the ride.
Ride of Silence events were also held in Greenville and Asheville among hundreds of locations around the country.
