Road reopens after wreck on E. Gap Creek Rd. in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE CO., SC (WSPA) – One person was taken to the hospital after a crash along East Gap Creek Road in Greenville County, Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened near Jug Factory Road shortly after 5:00pm, according to Highway Patrol.

Video from the scene shows a burned vehicle upside down near the roadway.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says a Nissan SUV was headed westbound on East Gap Creek Road when it ran off the right side of the road, hit a tree, and flipped.

The driver’s condition is not known at this time.

Lake Cunningham Fire Department also responded to the scene.

East Gap Creek Road was closed for a time after the crash but has since reopened.
