UPSTATE, S.C. (WSPA) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) handed out over 10,000 citations during July 4 weekend, Trooper Joel Hovis said in a tweet on Tuesday.

Here’s a full breakdown of July 4th interactions with SCHP from Friday, July 2 through Monday, July 5:

  • Citations Issued: 10,260
  • Warnings Issued: 7,645
  • DUI Arrests Made: 183
  • Motorists assisted: 629
  • Collisions Investigated: 932
