(WSPA) — Attracting movie makers from across the country, the Reedy Reels Film Festival is set for Saturday and Sunday in Greenville.
The event features 46 independent films, including dramas, comedies and thrillers. They will have a VIP party to kick off the festival Friday, but it officially begins Saturday. It’s happening at the Peace Center.
If you’re in need of a laugh, check out the New South Comedy Festival. It lasts through November 10. Shows on Friday and Saturday start at 6 p.m. Sunday’s show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Alchemy Comedy Theater in Greenville is presenting the festival and you can buy tickets online or at their box office. The festival features improv, stand up and sketch comedy. There will be over 300 performers from all over the country, including Los Angeles, New York and the Carolinas.

The Junior League of Spartanburg is hosting the 30th annual Santa’s Shoppe. The fundraiser and proceeds help support community projects.
Shop ’til you drop from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The event is at the Spartanburg Marriott on Church Street.
Santa’s Shoppe features more than 80 vendors selling everything from clothes and jewelry, to toys and treats.
