SC among 9 states with ‘high’ flu activity

COLUMBIA, SC (WCBD) – Flu season is in full swing and South Carolina is one of the top states where the activity is high.

The Centers for Disease Control released the latest numbers.

Flu activity is high in 9-states: Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Carolina.

Seven states and Puerto Rico have moderate flu activity.

So far, 11 children have died from flu-related complications since this year’s flu season began.
