GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Greenville County Schools held a special virtual board meeting Tuesday morning to give an update on some of the challenges the district is facing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some of the challenges discussed included changing conditions, evolving science and ensuring safety while meeting the needs of the community.
In a presentation, the board also discussed the shortage of substitutes and what to do if a student refuses to follow protocols.
After teacher and principal feedback, a final document detailing school plans will be released on July 21.
The timing of the release still gives parents six days to register for the school district’s virtual program.
