Search underway for Dollar Tree armed robbery suspect in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Greenville County Sheriff’s Office deputies have responded to an armed robbery at a business.

The armed robbery happened at about 8:20 p.m. at the Dollar Tree located at 1950 Cedar Lane Road, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. 

Investigators learned that an armed man, wearing all black clothes and a face covering, entered the store and demanded cash before stealing the clerk’s car keys, the sheriff’s office said.

No injuries were reported during the robbery at the store.

The robber left the scene with an undiclosed amount of cash in the clerk’s green 2004 Toyota Camry, according to the sheriff’s office. The car’s South Carolina license plate number is QIP-655. 

Lt. Ryan Flood said deputies located the Camry in a parking lot in the 1100 block of Cedar Lane Road.

Flood said investigators are still looking to identify and locate the suspect.
