Shelter closes in Rutherford Co. as weather conditions improve

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – A shelter that was opened for residents of Rutherford County has since closed due to improving weather conditions, the sheriff’s office says.

The shelter was originally opened by Second Baptist Church for those displaced by storms and flooding.
