Shots from car into another car on Rutherford St. in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Police say someone shot at a car from another car while driving down Rutherford Street in Greenville, Friday morning.

According to the Greenville Police Department, the two vehicles were driving on Rutherford Street towards College Street when someone inside a gray SUV fired multiple shots at a Jeep, hitting it at least five times.

The victim inside the Jeep was able to swerve into the McDonalds parking lot and was not hurt.

The suspect’s vehicle sped away down Butler Avenue, according to police.

Officers in the area heard gunshots and arrived at the scene between a McDonalds and QuikTrip.

Officers arriving at the scene saw the vehicle leaving but were unable to catch it.

The suspect’s vehicle is believed to be a Ford Escape or a Honda CR-V.
