ABBEVILLE, S.C. (WSPA/Index-Journal) – The S.C. Law Enforcement Division is investigating an incident involving an officer with the Abbeville Police Department, the city manager said.
Abbeville Police Chief Mark Hall confirmed that he requested the investigation.
Hall declined to offer details until SLED completes its investigation.
At least one officer has been suspended in connection to the probe.
The city manager said that there was an incident with one officer that SLED was asked to look into, which is routine procedure. He said it is not a departmental wide investigation of the Abbeville Police Department.
