‘Slide the City’ returns for another year in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA)- One street in Spartanburg will be covered by the biggest slip and slide you’ve ever seen.

Slide the City is back for another year and it’s changing locations to make the slide faster and even more fun.

The slide will be set up on East Daniel Morgan Avenue.

Spartanburg leaders tell us last year’s slide brought thousands to the city. The City of Spartanburg says they appreciate anything that brings people downtown, whether it’s shopping or eating.

Slide the City is fun for the whole family with games, food and entertainment will be provided.

You slide Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. or 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Prices start at $35. “Slide the City” will donate some of its proceeds to local charities.

Guests must be 5 years old or older to ride by yourself on the tube. Minors must have a parent sign a waiver.

Organizers say water bucket, floaties, and water guns are allowed.
