Social media post posed no threat to Bryson M.S. students and staff, police say


SIMPSONVILLE, SC (WSPA) – An investigation into a possible threat against an area middle school posed no threat to students or staff, according to Simpsonville Police Department officials.

According to a news release from the police department, they were made aware of a social media post indicating a possible threat against Bryson Middle School on Tuesday.

“An investigation into this matter revealed that the original post was made out of state and posed no threat to the students or staff. Additional personnel provided security for the school during the investigation. All school activities continued without interruption.”

Police added that the incidents at Hillcrest High School and Bryson Middle School were unrelated.
