(WSPA) – Verizon service has been restored after some southern states experienced outages on Friday morning.

According to Verizon’s outage map online, the company received at least 1,232 outage reports. Outages were reported in Georgia and Alabama.

Verizon released a statement Friday morning, saying the issue was quickly identified and fixed. Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC areas experienced unrelated outages, according to Verizon.

“Some of our customers in Georgia and Alabama may have experienced a disruption in service overnight.  Our network team quickly identified and fixed the issue, and service was fully restored early this morning,” Verizon officials said.
