JACKSONVILLE, FL (WSPA) – A Spartanburg County woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Florida early Monday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol news release, a vehicle was traveling westbound on US 90 (Beach Boulevard) in Jacksonville, Fla. when it hit a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road.
The first pedestrian knocked into a second pedestrian following the impact with the vehicle.
After the crash, the vehicle drove away from the scene heading westbound on US 90.
The first pedestrian was identified as Dolores M. Gunby, 68, of Pauline.
Gunby died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The second pedestrian was identified as Michael A. Ragaglia, 51, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Ragaglia sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle has not yet been identified and the case is currently under investigation, according to highway patrol.
