SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – A Spartanburg County woman had a great Wednesday morning when she won a quarter of a million dollars from a scratch off lottery ticket she bought the day before.

The “Fantastic 10s” lottery ticket was purchased Tuesday at the Kangaroo Express on Asheville Highway in Spartanburg County.

The winner scratched off the ticket around 7:00am and says she headed straight to Columbia to pick up her winnings.

“My mouth dropped open, and I was shaking,” she said when she realized what the ticket was worth.  “I didn’t know what to think.”

Three of the $250,000 top prizes remain in the $10 scratch off game Fantastic 10s. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 660,000.

The Kangaroo Express received a $2,500 commission for selling the winning ticket.
