Spartanburg International Festival, Oktoberfest this weekend


(WSPA) — You can celebrate cultures from around the world this weekend in the Upstate. 

Take a tour around the world without leaving Spartanburg. The Spartanburg International Festival is from 11 AM until 7 PM Saturday at Barnet Park.

Experience new cultures through music, dance, art and food. Admission is free, but you will want to bring money for shopping and food tasting tickets.

Oktoberfest celebrations kicked off Thursday at Noma Square in Greenville. The festivities continue through Saturday. The hours are from 11 AM until 9:30 PM Friday and Saturday.

Get your fill of brats, pretzels and beer cheese. They’ll have German beer on tap and a live Oompah band. There’s also a bratwurst eating contest, chicken dance, corn hole and more.

The Albino Skunk Music Festival is going on at the Skunk Farm in Greer.

Originally founded as a bluegrass festival, it now showcases all types of music. You can camp out on the grounds Friday and Saturday to enjoy the live music lineup. Gates open at 10 AM each day. Community Tap will be there providing beer and food trucks will be parked if you get hungry. Tickets are available online at
