SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — An Easter egg hunt for those with mental and physical disabilities will be held in Spartanburg County.

Spartanburg County Parks and Recreation and the Miracle League are holding the Egg-Cessible Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 13 at Miracle Park at North Spartanburg Park.

Organizers say the event allows those with special needs and their families to feel comfortable and safe while egg hunting.

Kristen Guilfoos with Spartanburg County Parks and Rec. says more than 300 people attended last year’s Easter egg hunt.

Children will be divided by age groups and will have more than a dozen interactive games and activities to participate in while they wait to hunt for Easter eggs.

Guilfoos said  the event is free and open to anyone with mental and or physical disabilities.

Participants must register by April 6.
