10th earthquake reported near Columbia in less than 2 weeks

UPDATE: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – Another earthquake was reported Wednesday morning near Columbia. This was the tenth earthquake in less than two weeks.

According to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division, the earthquake happened at 8:18 a.m. with a 1.5 magnitude near Lugoff, SC.

This is the tenth earthquake since Dec. 27.


COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – A ninth earthquake was reported Wednesday morning near Columbia in less than two weeks.

According to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division, the earthquake happened at 1:45 a.m. with a 2.5 magnitude near Lugoff, SC.

This is the ninth earthquake since Dec. 27.
