Violent suspect wanted by FBI arrested in North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTW) — A suspect wanted by the FBI in connection with two murders in North Carolina was arrested Thursday afternoon in Greensboro.

Malek Anthony Moore was wanted for first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, and first-degree burglary in connection with an investigation in Charlotte, according to the FBI.

Greensboro Police said Moore was also wanted for first degree Murder for a death on September 3.

He’s also believed to be involved in multiple other violent crimes since Sept. 2.

FBI had said that Moore may have been in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, or surrounding states.

Moore was captured around 1:35pm by officers from the Greensboro Police Department Violent Criminal Apprehension Team.

Moore was taken into custody on East Market Street after a call from a resident.

Moore is being held in the Guilford County Jail without bond.
