A Roper Mountain Science Center Second Saturday event will help entertain your children who might be interested in everything STEM or STEAM.

The STEM Festival is happening Saturday Feb 9 celebrating all things science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

’s Valerie Mosher said they’re planning hands-on activities for all ages including 3D printing, robots, power-tool drag races, coding, and more.


Community partners come together to provide activities for much of the day to allow students to explore careers in these fields organizers explained.
Some examples include Fleur who provides engineering circuits, Greenville Water staff show kids how to test their water and even Lego activities and a planetarium show.


Its a great way for our local engineers and scientists to interact with the public and explain what stem is and see career opportunities,” Mosher said.

STEM Fest hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. admission is: $8 for teens and adults (ages 13- 59); $7 for children
