GREENVILLE Co., SC (WSPA) – A suspect is accused of ramming a SLED patrol vehicle during a chase, according to Thom Berry with South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
According to SLED, two agents were watching a house in Greenville County for a man wanted in Laurens County and North Carolina.
Agents attempted to stop a vehicle with three people who left the house but the driver would not stop, Berry says.
SLED says the driver of the vehicle rammed and damaged one SLED vehicle and tried to hit another while allowing two other people in the car to get away.
The driver then crashed his vehicle, allowing agents to take him into custody.
The man who was arrested was not the person who agents were originally looking for.
The man was taken to the Greenville County Detention Center and charges are pending.
The chase ended at South Harrison Bridge Road and Jenkins Road.
No officers were hurt.
