SENECA, SC (WSPA) – An 18-year-old has been charged with murder in the shooting deaths of two men in Seneca.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that Steven Lee Reynolds of Seneca is charged with murder in the shooting deaths of Timothy Wayne Caldwell, 54, and David Thomas Tranah, 29, around 9:10 a.m. Monday on Padgett Street.

We reported earlier that dispatch received a 911 call after someone in a nearby home heard gunfire moments before seeing two people on the ground.

Caldwell and Tranah’s bodies were found on Padgett Street.

The coroner has said that Caldwell lived at the home, and said both deaths were being investigated as a homicide.

Deputies arrested Reynolds at an address on Coffee Road near Stribling Shoals Road on Tuesday evening.

Reynolds has been charged with two counts each of murder. Deputies say he also had outstanding warrants for distribution of methamphetamine and heroin.

A judge denied bond on all charges.

Reynolds remains in the Oconee County Detention Center.
