LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A 15-year-old city girl led officers on a short pursuit before crashing a car into a large tree and two parked vehicles, police said.

The officers had attempted to stop the black Nissan sedan for driving without headlights in the 600 block of Rockland Street around 3 a.m., but the driver fled and crashed on Shippen Street after the four-block pursuit.

The driver and her 14-year-old passenger were taken into custody. Both girls were transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police said charges against the driver will be filed with juvenile probation.
