UNION, SC (WSPA) – A teen was shot in the hand after he reached for a robber’s gun, according to a Union Police report.
It happened around 11:15 p.m. Saturday.
An officer was called to the Union Medical Center for a gun shot victim.
The victim, a 17-year-old boy, said he was walking on Union Boulevard near Horseshoe Circle or Cherokee Avenue when two men wearing all black and masks told him to “Give it up.”
The victim said one of the men pulled a gun on him. He reached for the gun and was shot in the hand, according to the report.
The victim said he ran to the nearest car he could find and got a ride to the hospital.
He said he didn’t know the suspects.
