The Home Depot, Purple Heart Homes help Pickens veteran

PICKENS, S.C. (WSPA) – Volunteers from The Home Depot and Purple Heart Homes helped an Upstate veteran Thursday.

Vietnam veteran Clyde Breedlove was in need of insulation for his pump house to make sure he had running water during the winter.

Shane Wilson with The Home Depot said helping Breedlove is the least they could do for someone who has fought for the country. Wilson says they try to help as many veterans as they can.

“It’s great, it feels good to be able to help out somebody that either has a limitation with the funding or just can’t do it physically,” Wilson explained. “It’s nice to be able to step in, help out, do something for them, makes their life a lot easier.”
